I saw an old Dobbs fedora today, with a light brown sweat and rolled brim maybe 27/8 inches wide, open crown (though it once had a block to it--you can see the outlinss,) with an unusual finish, somewhat coarse, bumpy and a tad fuzzy. Is this a scratch finish? The hat is a beautiful grey silver, with an odd luminosity to it, and it sports a wide ribbon and large bow in matching silver grey. Any comments would be appreciated.
