Once again I have to chime in and say how impressed I am at the quality of the work exhibited here. The FL members could mount a group show in any major city and and it would be received with rave reviews.

Not photos or paintings but tattoo machines made by my own fair hand from scratch, with the exception of the screws and misc hardware......

Well behind the front lines!
I have a pretty extensive background in art. My more prolific days were in the 90s when I did a lot of military themed catalog and other work. These days I'm more focused on photography and graphics. Here's some more recent stuff:

I painted this on a A-2 jacket, from a Disney insignia they made for Beech aircraft:

And yes, these are colored drawings, not photoshopped photos:

When I first got into WW2 re-enacting in the late 80s, I noticed that nobody had ever done re-enactor cartoons (not decent ones, anyway). A few have done it since, but I'm convinced that I was the very first WW2 re-enactor cartoonist (at least the first with any talent or humor). I did dozens of them over a few years. Right now, I'm compiling them all along with all the other similar stuff I've done and will be putting it all into a book sometime next year. Here are a few of my favorites. Keep in mind, most of these were done in 1992-1995, so I'm much better than this now. Enjoy!

My Oil Paintings

I have been painting for a number of years and, after all the trials and errors, this is what I've ended up with. I hope you all enjoy them. They are in my own private collection:

And Now for Something Completely Different.

I'm with draws, Eyemo . . . Magnificent!!

I've seen this done in magazines, and decided to give it a try.

Shooting smoke is just something I wanted to try. (I added a couple more, by the way.) I just kept lighting, blowing out and relighting a candle against a black background. I lit them with a single strobe and then manipulated the colors in PhotoShop.
