I just purchased a Stetson Medalist and found this.
I am wondering anyone here tried or seen it? Is it a boater?

Yes, I highly endorse any new member to read the Boater Faction thread. I spent some enjoyable hours there last summer when I bought my mid century Dobbs straw. I nabbed it because of the 7 1/4 LO size off the "Bay". Of the many styles of hat we Loungers wear, the old Boaters make a real statement. Welcome and post pictures!

That Dobbs Straw Boater looks absolutely stunning! I might save up some money to buy the Stetson Amsterdam, looks quite nice.
