The winner is a vintage clothing dealer. He's bought things from me in the past.

As for the company ... as soon as Marilyn Manson became popular, it probably changed its name back.

It does look very wide. Maybe it's an optical illusion? eBay photos can be misleading, to say the least.

Earlier hats did have a wider sweatband. I have several Stetsons from the 20s and 30s that have sweatbands that are exactly as wide as that one. As time went on, either the style changed or they became cheaper with the materials. You decide.
