It is amazing what comes up with that search! I am conflicted now.

I think the thing that makes the Draper's win, is that when you email them you get a response from "F. Draper (Miss)". Which is the most adorably vintage thing I have seen in ages!

... I am now irritated with F.Draper (Miss). On spec I checked the website today, and the boots I like are back in stock without her having alerted me! So do I buy them anyway, or do I keep looking out of spite?

email her asking whether the boots have come back into stock. Then she will feel guilty. Then buy them anyway 'cause they're amazing. ;)

Bought these yesterday. Have to get used to the low heel since I prefer the higher ones, but the shoes are pretty comfy and warm and I predict I will walk them very much when the snow arrives and the streets are slippery.

Smokin'! I love those, and they'd be my ideal heel height.

Guess Sorels aren't always clunky old things; I just found these adorable snow-friendly Sorel oxfords online. They're not exactly budget friendly for me right now (I already have good snow boots), but they're awfully cute.

Snow friendly in Texas hahaha not up here in the frozen tundra unless you like soggy socks.:p
But I will admit that they are cute now if only they went up past the ankles.

Help choosing shoes!

Hello ladies! I need some help choosing which shoes to get. They're a tad pricey but my idea is that they'll last me ages and I'll never get feet so cold they hurt ever again.
I have three in the short list.
These:

These:

Or these:

Like I said they're pricey for me so I want to make sure I make a good choice. Any comments and opinions would be very much appreciated.
Thanks!

i'd go for the second pair. they are a bit more elegant (with the small heel) but still look comfortable enugh for every day wear.

The middle ones are my favourites! But suede! What if they get damaged? I've never owned suede before. I was lead to believe it's high maintainence. Does know how good suede is for winter shoes?
My friend owns the top ones and she said they're so lovely and warm.
In my heart I know the middle ones are the prettiest.

i've heard that silicon spray can prevent water damage... and you can give them a brush up now and again.

however, if you live in a rainy or snowy climate (and i see you're from the uk) i'd try my best to ignore my heart and let your mind speak :D

maybe you can go talk to a cobbles or other type of shoe specialist for advice when it comes to care and cleaning?

Well, I prefer the first pair to the other two, but in terms of suede I think it'll be okay. I have several pairs of suede boots (some from Dorothy Perkins) in grey, brown, tan and black, and they have all held up through two winters and some rain so far. I have to say that they are nowhere near waterproof though, so if it gets wet my feet are cold quickly. If the weather is bad I just wear hiking boots for walking if it's not in town. None of the suede boots have water damage or stains,a dn the light grey ones are still clean despite me not being particularly careful.
My vote still goes to the first pair because I think they look nicest and the heel is better for winter.

Puzzicato, we need to know where those came from! My preference is the second because of the small but elegant heel and the fur top.

Check the Lynton Bombay model at Clarks, which is very similar - just to confuse the issue!

I did look on the Clarks website but I didn't like them as much as the other ones. I have been all over the internet looking and all of the three choices came from Office.
The links in order are below:

http://www.office.co.uk/womens/office/kid_n_play/10/9443/24806/1/

I might get the first pair as a friend has a pair and she said they are extremely snuggley on your feet. The other pair will have to wait for another payday. Now the only question is do I get them in brown or black? Heavens! I can't make any decisions! :eusa_doh:
