One of the things I am most excited about getting my first VS is the ribbon. I'm going mid-width (not narrow, not wide), and I want a more traditional ribbon treatment (love those stacked ribbons, but this one will be more traditional). I'm leaving a lot in Art's hands, and am excited to see what he will come up with!

Thanks Matt, I wish others would show off theirs as well.

This thread is indeed a great idea. And I definitely believe the number of people posting pics in it will continue to grow. I think we just need to spread a little more word/remind folks about a little...

I'm in the process of ordering my first piece of Art-work (just sent the conformer back) and am thrilled to have found all these close-up ribbon shots to help me get an idea of the wide range of color and concepts Art has available. But, even after spending the past two months pouring over countless pictures and reading many of the posts in the 'Art Fawcett Hall of Fame' thread, it wasn't until Coble posted a comment today about it that I realized there was a thread solely devoted to Art's ribbons.

Thanks a ton for starting this thread and I can't wait for - and am sure that - word about it to spread.

Not quite as snazzy as some of the bows people have going on here, but here are my two works of Art:

I do agree that all of the other ribbons are wonderful, and delightfully colorful, but I like yours; they strike me as being relatively minimalist, but that's not a bad thing at all, they work so well with the understated colors. You made great choices, there.

Just got this one back ... Art did the ribbon for me on my PB Monti .... Dark Maroon is the color! The lighting isn't good but the color of the ribbon is correct .... the hat however is a little more of a butter color then what is showing up.

:bump2:

Would be a shame to leave this guy out of here...

This ribbon was a toughie to figure out... It required much brainstorming on Art's part and mine until we stumbled upon a pattern that would not only look right, but also be physically feasible to sew. Slanted pleats are much harder than they look.

Cheers,
