Hello Folks,
It's my first post and for the occasion I show you one of my favorite Cap. It's a Kangol Fairway Mesh purchased at Henri Henri Lt in Montréal durring the summer 2006. A genuine Made in United Kingdom
I was lucky to find it, they had some leftover stock, back in the days.

Just got my Hat People hat in the mail today and here are the pictures. This is a blue linen with a natural linen band.
Most of my caps are brown and black or a tweed so I wanted a different color.

Thanks guys. I like the herringbone, especially that the green is pretty vivid and has nice contrasting color "flecks". I also like the gray windowpane for variety. I tend to be pretty conservative with my felt hats, so the caps give me a chance to mix it up a little.

Old and New

Haven't posted for awhile, thought the Cap Faction would be a good place to stop by.

Here is an old no name leather cap I've had for years. It still gets a lot of wear each winter.

And here is the new one. A Hanna flat cap. I got this today from Sullivan's Irish Alley (http://www.sullivansirishalley.com/mysitecaddy/site3/index.htm), and they had the best price on Hanna hats that I've found.

Had a great time reading through this thread and gathering information to base my purchase on. This Hanna hat is even better than I thought it would be.

You know, I've often wondered about these caps --

What are the "rules" regarding caps in herringbone or some plaid-ish pattern being worn with tweed or plaid-ish coats? Should they match? Should one avoid a gray cap with a brownish coat, and vice-versa? Should one try to match caps with coats, thus necessitating a pile of caps?

Color me confused, but eager to learn.

As a general rule with headgear, color of the hat/cap should coordinate, but not match.

Ah, excellent. I was hoping it was something like that.

So a charcoal herringbone cap, for example, would be okay with a grey checked tweed coat...?

Agreed. Although all-matching ensembles do exist, as I see it they are overkill. It is better to follow the usual coordination rules, both as regards to colour and pattern.
My general rule is this: If Wooster could wear it without Jeeves' disapproval, than it is probably in good taste.

Hey, how far down the back do those hanna hats go? I'm looking for one that rides lower than my current cap.
