I wouldn't add any buttons. I suspect a lower row of buttons would have to be left open to be able to sit comfortably; fine on a sb waistcoat, but doesn't look right on a DB, IMO.

Wow. There have been some impressive all-vintage outfits around here lately. Kudos on finding such clothes in good shape and pulling off an entire look with them! I just try to look well-groomed, businesslike, and gentlemanly in whatever I find, am given, or can afford. It's good to have things to aspire to, though!

This was this past Tuesday's outfit, built around my straw hat. Central Pennsylvania was warm enough for a summer hat then.

Hat: Livity Outernational raffia straw fedora, found at a grocery store.
Suit: A gray Sears suit handed down from my father, so probably from the '80s. Something about my dad's old suits draws loads of compliments on my outfits.
Shirt: a tan, blue, and white plaid things I've had for ages.
Tie: a thrift store find.
Tie bar: A Rockhill Trolley Museum store item, depicting our open-air trolley 1875.

I think I've finally hit that point where I have enough good clothes to really have fun putting together an outfit that I and others will like. I guess we all get there at some point when we're just young upstarts. It's a nice feeling.
