Great video! I have rebuilt a couple of old Brit bikes in the living room over the years.

Fruit Salad, yummy yummy.

I found another vintage transit vehicle that deserves mention here. It's a 1947 GM city bus (a TDH-4507, for any other transit nerds out there). It's owned by a private individual who occasionally brings it to the Baltimore Streetcar Museum.

I was immediately taken with its paint scheme, commonly known as the Fruit Salad scheme. National City Lines may have been a horrifically corrupt enterprise, but man, those boys could paint a bus!

There's a very informative article here about Baltimore's GM "Old Look" buses. Search the page for "1426" to see the story on why this solid-lookin' relic is still roaming the roads.

This was at a trolley museum volunteers conference/get-together at Baltimore, apparently an occasion special enough to warrant 1426's presence.

The bus's owner kindly gave rides along the road paralleling the museum. I even chased it in a Baltimore PCC streetcar, but it won. When my carpool was ready to leave that evening, I found the bus idling conveniently just outside the museum building, so I got a ride in '47 style to the parking lot.

And thus a light rail lover gains an appreciation for the other side. :)

Well, I've showed the pics of the truck to my Pa before, so he knew lol RFD-TV is a 'country' TV channel on Cable/Satellite. They play Hee-Haw, The Porter Wagoner Show, The Wilburn Brothers and such :)
