At the moment there's a model with virtually the same fabric on Ebay in 6 7/8, only that one is a flatcap and was made by Empire State.

It's been there forever... small and a little soiled, but I'm surprised no one has taken a stab at it.

Yes, I've seen it time and time again but when Robert posted his cap it wasn't up on Ebay. Seems that it just reappeared today.

It looks to be lacking the proper dimensions I love in flat-/newboy caps.

Since linen newsboys have come up and I have yet to order one. Which maker is recommended here the most between HP, B!Wear, and Hepville?

Is it more a matter of individual taste or are their real differences in fabric quality and such.

I don't know about the other makers and Bela may - at the moment - not have such a wide array of different fabrics available but I'd still vote for him.

You can ask him for special alterations, bits and pieces. On the linen cap I asked him to make the bill wider than he usually does and it worked like a charm. Bela is a pleasure to work with and a really nice chap. Yes, my vote is up for Bela.

As Mario mentioned I´ve made the brim a bit wider and larger. It came out nicely on the second try I´ve changed the pattern... so I can do that now on all sizes. I´ve made another one for me with this kind of brim in a size 59... will soon post some pictures here.

Some general note for linen caps:
Linen tends to wrinkle more like other fabrics. Ironing a linen cap is not the best idea to get the wrinkles out.
You can use a vaporizer with water to wet your cap and after that you dry your cap with a hair dryer (hold the dryer under your cap to the inside... the cap will dry and bloat and will re-shape again.

Fantastic cap Mario, it's the most vintage looking modern cap I've seen yet. I'll definitely go for that wide brimmed style in the future.

Since Hepville designs have come up I will go ahead and show mine.

I promise better pics in the future, anyway I commissioned this cap to match the jacket and it does this quite well.

I have a cheap modern cap that I got within the last year (I forget when). My wife and I were out, looked at the hats in one of the stores, and my wife liked this one so I got it. I'm sure it's nothing special, but since my others are fedoras, it's nice to have a different type of hat available.

Yep, that works.
However, I've found that steam is the killer app.
To belabor what I've said before, it's the humidity and not the heat at all.
You hold it far enough away so that molecular water enters the fabric.
If your hand hurts, it's too hot.
Dries much much faster than wetting with an atomizer and just as effective.

BTW, Bela's caps look great and I like Frank's glasses too.
