Haha, that's what I thought too!

The only number of mine that I am interesting in increasing dramatically is the number of vegetables I am growing!

It is quite shocking to me really. Like some girls I know that are proud of having a high number. When a few of them go on nights out they have little contests - very distasteful ones - but if ever confronted their defence is that it is just the same as what men do.

And to think there are people in the world who think it's gross to wear a used pair of shoes.

:D

"my shoes only had one person in them before me....can you say the same about your wife?"

There is the sad thing. Society should have focused on getting "lads" to become gentlemen, instead of encouraging ladies to become "ladettes". :(

I know what you mean. I'm addicted to too many things. Maybe I need more dates to distract me from the millinery?

Reminds me of one of my grandmother's favourite stories. When she went to the equivalent of high school, early '40s, their principal held an impassioned speech about the moral state of young people today. He meant to to end it with: "and the only thing that can save the young people of today from the temptations of sexuality is a sound life of sports!" Instead, he managed to say "and the only thing that can save the young people of today from the temptations of sport is a sound sex life!"

The double standard was and is a disgusting thing. But we've gone from a double standard to no standard at all, and that's even worse.

250+ partners reeks of emotional issues. I feel bad for young ladies that hop from partner to partner trying to fill an emotional emptiness.

Applies equally to both genders.

People don't date anymore, they just hook up.

Boith are equally unappealing to me. I can't think of anything more depressing than wasting an evening going on a "date" which is basically an interview to see if you want to see then again. I'm increasingly grateful I got cynical enough to give up on the whole concept of relationships and stopped wasting my time.

Slugs, furry tailed rats(squirrels), white flies, aphids and a host of other pests too.

I have said and will continue to say that women are the keepers of morality and standards in our society. If they become like men then the standards and morals will go down, down, down and further down over time. Much like Clevon in Idiocracy, many men will take advantage of the fact that women will not force them to commit in the form of marriage or some equal way and just jump from one woman to another.
I remember my aunt, who would be 88 today, often said: "I was all for having fun and that but none of that sex stuff unless I am married." lol lol lol Gee, how times have changed.

Of course.

Edward, as my grandmother used to say, there is somebody for everyone. You just haven't found her yet." Who knows? You might even end up with two or three children to boot. :p Life is full of surprises. :D

I hate this attitude that women are supposed to be somehow morally more uptight than men, yet aren't held to any respect for it anyway; they get called "prudes", and that's at the most benign end of the spectrum.

The old "boys will be boys" mentality is damaging to both men and women, for it dismisses personal responsibility for one gender while making the other gender pay through the nose for the same behavior, even though it takes two to tango, as the old saying goes. It should be as simple as this: You want a good partner in life? Be a good partner yourself! Don't blame your shortcomings on your gender, circumstances, upbringing, whatever; own what you got and do the best that you can with it.

Don't mention aphids - got a plague of them! :(

I think women are (or used to be?) held to higher moral standards than men. Put on a pedestal in a way - to provoke men to righteousness by her example. I don't know if the same can be said now. It is a sad thing when women attack other women for holding on to their principles.

My sentiments exactly.
