Finally a warmer day (heading to mid 60's it seems). A great chance to wear Art's black on black milan Dualist for Fawcett Friday

Roger, great looking Panama. I like the dimensions.
David, that is a very nice dualist. The black cherry ribbon looks great.
Andy, sweet Borso. That one will keep you dry.
Perry, great looking Stetson 15.
Sam, I like the wide ribbon with the gills on that CD. Nice!

To say ALL GOOD isn't enough. You guys are incredible!! Such a joy to see those straws. Roger, you set the standard today, sir.

Too chilly for straws here, but I still busted out the woven shoes, with my go-to VS Steel. SHHhhhhhhhh.... Miles is still Sleeping!

hRm--I envy you for those shoes, but that Steel VS is stellar!

Great start to Friday, gents. Back to cool and gray here, it's San Francisco after all. Wearing the new Premiere Stratoliner.

After a week of small trouble I went back to admire your magnificent hats.
I have a very old father (92) who has some ailment that needs treatment and so I'm his constant companions for his health and two days ago he entered the emergency room of the hospital, not in very good condition, but with Borsalino on the head!
I have to say, honestly, I notice a change in the overall climate and also hats "suffer" the consequences. Here in Verona spring is too early to continue with so hot days. I dread there may be a sudden change of temperature ... in the meantime I thought I'd continue with some felt hat, unlined. View attachment 12461

Have a nice day and continue to show your hats that are for me a source of inspiration and knowledge.

Daniele This may be the best post of the day! His hat may have healing powers, so keep it on him. Your place in Heaven is made, sir!

Alan have I missed the bipartisan in the past, or is this a new acquisition? VERY nice!!

I've had it for a while. We tend to have very brief springs and falls here in western NY. By the time I remember to unleash it from its original Dunlap box, it is often too late to wear it.

I believe it is the hat that was the inspiration for Art Fawcett's dualist. I purchased it from Lounge member ScottF.

Good afternoon Gents! You guys look great as usual.

Rogera, David, great looking Straws you two! Spring is here!
casechopper, love the ribbon work on your Campdraft!
hatsRme, classic styling on the VS. Love it!
g.durand, Daniele Tanto, great looking Barbisio!
Joao, awsome Nutria! I like that one!
Andy, we got the rain here in Central Ohio too. Looks like your Borso held up well.
Perry, Love the Stetson 15!

Another look at my most recent Western / Fedora conversion. I'm still trying to decide on a ribbon choice since I had a few more ideas come to me. This one is obviously way too big for me. So I'll be putting this one up for sale or trade. It came out nice. It's a heck of a hat and the felt is really dense.

Sam - I think if I ever order another Campdraft I'm going to replace the stock ribbon with something of a similar width. It takes a wider ribbon nicely.

Charlie - I won't let sleeping dogs lie, I have to tell you that's a great hat.

Michael - the Strat looks good.

Daniele - lovely Barbisio. I hope your father is recovering.

Joao - nice Nutria.

Alan - that's a beautiful combination of materials.

Terry - I take it felt behind the band won't snug it up enough?

Akubra RM Williams for me today:

Not on this one. The size tag says 7 1/4 but it's big for a 7 1/4. On the other 7 1/4s I have, I can put a little padding behind the sides of the sweat and they fit perfectly. This one is just too big for that....Nice Akubra btw.
