What's for Dinner?

That will work! We had red beans and rice with them little Smokie weenies Thrown in for a little extra! Oh yeah and a Hamm's beer! :)

Hamm's?! :faint::p
Last night we had two BBQs going again. A Dad's Club meeting and a bunch of guys over. Everything on there including chicken wings, tri tip, sirloins, hot links, hot dogs and a few other things I can't remember. :p Throw in chili, scalloped potatoes, salads, rice dishes, pot stickers and enough beer to float a battleship and you are usually good. :p

Tonight at Crunk Manor: Blackened* tilapia with drawn butter and a guacamole salad. Pineapple green tea (iced) to drink.

*Properly blackened the Chef Paul Prudhomme way - encrusted with cajun spices and pan-fried in a 500 degree skillet.

How bout a heads up next time:D I'm just down the road you know.

Tonight I made some chicken and smoked sausage gumbo, with rice (of course) and garlic bread, and a few icy cold German beers.

Sounds delicious. You know, seeing as how we're not so far away, we really need to plan on a get together sometime. Maybe even expand that to a Southeastern lounger's meetup.

I have for awhile been thinking of trying to organize a monthly dinner meet-up for people with a like-interest in vintage attire to get together and have a nice evening out, golden-age style. Sort of a supper-club type deal, but picking a different location every time. Of course if that fails to materialize, heck, just a cook-out between us and the families would be nice.

This evening meal was real simple....12 tacos from Taco Bell.....

You have no idea how often we get those. Usually for lunch, but with all my kids, they can knock out a couple of those, and it's an easy and fairly cheap way to fill 'em up.
