Yard Boss is more a 50s Levi's fit: straight-legged, mid-rise. Brakeman is a 30s-style: high-waist, wide-leg with a back-cinch strap. Both are very cool, though the Brakeman are properly the more distinctive of the two.

I really prefer high rise for comfort, but how does the Brakeman with wide-leg work for someone with sparrow legs (like me, not you:D)?

Those Brakeman do look rather good :) Once I get one more jacket project out of the way I'm aiming to seriously concentrate on the rest of my wardrobe & sink some money into SJC clothing. :)

SJC's just released some printed t-shirts. Very distinctive designs, but using bamboo cloth and some nice details. A fair price too, given the price of Buzz Rickson etc: http://www.simonjamescathcart.com/polo-tees/tees

Splashed out here on the 'Sailors Dream' silk neckerchief & looking to purchase one of the Polo shirts next pay-cheque. I would have liked the Mermaid T-Shirt but the Wife was totally against it :) (if I'd carried on and purchased it, I suspect it would have disappeared one wash day ;-)

I'm in a similar boat. I like the mermaid design, but no way would it fly in my house (same with the Boom Boom and Wolf) ;) . Simon had a cool Deco fish design, but sadly it didn't make the cut.

The ship's wheel reminds me a bit of a Pogues shirt I have... capt without the parent-bothering "rum, sodomy and the lash" legend. ;)

Some great new stuff is available at the moment from SJC. Long sleeved winter polo shirts, melton wool waistcoats with patch pockets in six different designs, gang jackets, shawl collar cardigans, caps made by Barry Simonds and the footwear is also available again (Balmoral boots, engineers and spectators). http://www.simonjamescathcart.com
