I bought one recently in my usual size and it's too tight. I'm going to exchange, but should I order up a size? All my other Stetsons, which are not premiers are the same size. Did I just get a dud?

Interestingly, the open crown Stetsons have had a rep for fitting a tad big. My Stetsonian was very loose when I first got it, but has since conformed and fitted itself to me just fine. The Racine I purchased at the outlet was pretty true to size and hasn't varied. Did your hat come in a 150th Anniversary Box, or with any of the stickers, etc. that come with those? From your liner tip photo, it may be an older stock model, from 2014 or so. It could have drawn up a bit sitting on the shelf?

I thought this a good time to bump this thread with a couple of pictures of my open crown new Strats.....

As opposed to what? Waving your hands around? It's a product. Have to describe quality levels some way. For some reason, I don't think "Good, Better, Best" has that same ring to it. :)
This is especially true when you have an inquiry about new made hats and you use the company's own language to differentiate their line of products. Someone may wish to purchase what they have seen, and in this instance the company in question (Stetson) has no less than three (3) versions of this particular line of hats.
Best,
M
