I know that face. It's the same one I made a couple nights ago when I pulled out my LW for the first wear of the season.
Even after (I think) two years now, it's still a beast. Granted, I don't wear it enough to truly break it, but there's no mistaking a LW for anything else. Congrats - looks great.

Really beautiful jacket. If I wore that I would have to get one of those devices that alerts first responders, "Help I've fallen and I can't get up".

Thanks guys for your comments. So here are my impressions after my first 20 hours with a LW jacket;

Yes, this thing is a beast. Weighs in at about 8 lbs sz 44R. Asked for 3.5oz hide instead of 4oz. I couldn't even imagine what it must be like to wear a hide that heavy. If I get a downtown which I think I may, I'd go even lighter, maybe 3oz?
Stu knows how to size up a customer with a few simple questions. This fits better than my Langlitz did after submitting them detailed measurements. Sleeve and body length are perfect. Great freedom of movement through the back and shoulders with the underarm gussets and action back. Just a tad too much material across the front chest on the side opposite the pocket. If not for this the fit would have been like custom to my body. I can wear it in a tee shirt or over a hoodie as in the pic.
The D pocket does seem a bit larger than what I was expecting from the pics I've seen.
The workmanship is impeccable. Not a single mis-stitch or loose thread.
I popped the $450 for the crown zips and they are robust and beautiful. With the zips he swapped out the brass buckles on the side cinches for nickel so everything matches.
It's been warm in NY so I've only worn it around the house a couple hours and its already starting to lose its initial stiffness.
It squeaks like a mofo but that too is beginning to subside.

Going into the business side of the purchase I wasn't sure what to expect. Based on the ramblings on the website and the various opinions I've seen posted I was somewhat suspect. I try to form my own opinions based on my personal experience so I tried to maintain an open mind. Stuart is a man of few words in his communications. That said he replied to my questions promptly and made the changes to my order as my mind changed along the way. In the end I got exactly what I ordered and what I wanted. It was a professionally conducted business transaction without any added fluff. And did I say the man is a Rockstar at making perfect horsehide leather jackets?

The excellent jacket, also suits you well.
I have jackets from the Lost Worlds. I love L.V. jackets from heavy skin, this unconditional quality, reliability and authenticity!

It's true, Stu isn't out to chat you up or butter your biscuit but the man is a genius at sizing a jacket to the nuts with little more than height and weight.
I had the same experience. Few emails, 8 weeks and a flawless jacket that couldn't be better. Much like a YouTube comments section, his website is for entertainment purposes only.

Asked for 3.5oz hide instead of 4oz.
When I ordered the Suburban jacket, I the same was faced by a dilemma what skin to choose? At me already I was
old Rider jacket in weight 4 oz, (a leather jacket only at that time there was also no experience and knowledge) I consulted with Stewart. He has told 3.5 oz. is very heavy and the best compromise between weight and comfort. Really, at my subjective view if not a trebuyetsa the jacket for driving the motorcycle - 3,5 oz-it is quite enough!

If it's beyond 7lbs, I think what you got is 4oz or plus. I suspect somehow he forgot to shave his original 4.5 HH to your spec, it's possible.
