Issued by the Norwegian Army. Snug fitting, durable and nice details with flag, pen pocket, epaulettes and velcro for name tag.

I have always had a certain degree of envy for older men in the UK who have told me about their National Service days. Being in the Corps at school and university was a kind of 'national service light' - the all-male environment, the uniform, drill, etc. - but it was only part-time and voluntary.

There was a strange mystery this morning. I got an email notification that 'Petersog' (yes that is the correct spelling) had replied to this thread. When I logged on, there was no message and - it seems - no member with this name.

Very mysterious: the (woolly) ghost in the machine?

I picked this one up at a thrift store recently. Anyone familiar with the brand?

Alas, naught so glamorous; simply a spammerfly that got swatted from behind the bar.

Yes, it's like that here too. I am in an Army Woolly Pully at the moment.

I'm wondering where you are at the moment Steve. Certainly not in London, because it's been so hot for the last 10 days or so that I've only been able to wear a Woolly Pully occasionally in the late evening or early morning. And that's only on a few days. I'm starting to get withdrawal symptoms.

Summer is a rehearsal for Hell. It's come horribly early this year, after weeks of bright cold weather, snow, frosts, etc.: blissful!

I am at home at the moment, but I do get up very early and it a bit chilly first thing.

You’re older than me and feel the cold more
Now Now, don't be rude. :p Actually, I have noticed recently that I do feel the cold more than I used too. (Infact the weather for this coming Bank Holiday weekend is supposed to be very hot indeed, 86f was just mentioned on the 5am news. That is far too hot.)

I have used OKW’s recent offer to order an experimental WP in Dark Grey Mix which I have seen aimed at the Japanese market. It has elbow patches but no shoulder patches. It will be interesting to see what it’s like.
