My first is a modern Selentino Sterling by Tonak.
This hat is going first because I found it a new home on eBay and it’s being boxed up tonight. Not a bad hat, but I’m thinning the herd!

Superb job, Terry. The colour and lines look outstanding.I never thought to post this hat here. This is a Navy Blue Pendleton 3X Resistol Western that I converted to a fedora last year. The hat was originally gifted to me by Michael R. I took it completely apart and reworked it. I reused the original hat band and brim binding. I also reused the original red liner, size tag, and sweat band bow. I did have to put a new sweat band in it....

It is indeed cobalto. Borsalino seems to have a flexible definition on what cobalto is exactly. This one is labelled cobalto too.

I was putting most of my felts away for the summer and I made the mistake of counting and cataloging all my hats. I’ve decided to thin out 20-30 that don’t get much wear. Most are either not my style, lower quality entry level hats, or duplicates. I’m well into the triple digits and that was never my intention.

Thank you, Michael. I have to say that I like this one too. Something about those older Red Liner Resistols really appeal to me. It was one butt ugly hat when I first got it, with its low tapered up crown and its taco brim. But when I started to take it apart, it was apparent that this hat was well made and the materials were top quality. I was glad that I was able to reuse and save everything that was original to the hat. Had to replace the sweat band, though. I was even able to save and reuse the original size tag and manufacturer's label! My thanks again to Michael R. for the gift. I'm glad I was able to give it new life
