Got my fit jacket, cow hide, button up xl.

Heavy and stiff for me personally, as well as a bit too big.
Love the jacket, so I hope large will work in a washed buffalo cuoio, want a lighter colored leather.

I gotta go zip front and hand warmers, such a convenience and comfort things for me. Not as classic for button up shawl feel, but I know I will wear it more.

Hope it works out....

Great thread.... been thinking about either cognac buffalo, cafe esspresso buffalo, or brown horse.

For those that have cognac buffalo... does it have like "grungy" worn type characteristics... or will it tend to age this way? I assume it would. Im looking to wear this to work... and a more business attire is best. Maybe brown horse would be better... but sure like that cognac!

The horse is more "business" in my opinion. It is smooth and the dark brown is very nice.

I agree... once i think im going with horse brown... then my eye starts going to cafe buffalo and cognac... cant make up mind!
I have a flexible work attire environment so maybe that cognac be ok... if not just an excuse to order another jacket :)

Ended up ordering large, washed cuoio, kept the button up front and the patch pockets. The shawl collar with the buttons is the look that hooked me to begin the process, so cool.
We shall see how long it takes to arrive!!
I think you’ll be very very pleased with this leather! It has a beautiful warm butterscotch tone with loads of grain and character. I would put Thedi up there with Eastman when it comes to his wash process because it creates a nice aged look that doesn’t appear at all artificial or over done
As far as build time, I ordered my jacket through Thurston on 11/22/17 and received it on 3/22/18.

Thanks! So excited for this one, very different from my other two Aero's. Hoping to see it around my birthday 12-11, and hoping my Truman Giallo boots will arrive same time!!

Got the Thedi yesterday! Very neat fit, was worried, but warmed up and stretched a bit after wearing in house. Absolutely gorgeous jacket, color and texture second to none. Just gotta get it really formed to my body, it's not stiff, or heavy, so should be able to really get it worn in. Definitely a t shirt only jacket and can't gain much weight haha, but i bought it for that reason, and look. My battered tan teamster is my layering leather coat. Will get pics tonight hopefully.

Congrats - glad you like it! I think it such a striking design.

This is timely for me as I'm contemplating the same jacket right now so all thoughts and opinions are much appreciated. I'm debating liking the look of the button up but wondering if I'll miss the convenience of a zipper. Other thought is the patch pockets and if they make the front of the jacket feel bulky. They certainly look nice!

Did you get your jacket customized at all? I've figured out my body shape prefers a custom fit - it's always nerve racking trying to do that via email.

I initially was gonna do zip up and hand side pockets for convenience. But I have a ton of those type jackets and wanted the total look of the shawl collar, buttons, and button pockets. The pockets are not bulky. I went standard size large.
This is strictly a t shirt, warmer weather jacket for me...and will be worn open almost always.
Buttons not bad to button if needed and can just do one or two if you want and it's a cool look.
Very neat fit for me 6'1 195/200lbs, but has already stretched a bit, confident it will form perfect for me.
For what I was picturing, and how want to wear it and look while wearing it, should be perfect.
Gotta get the damn pictures up...
