I've been trying to thin out the amount of hats I have.Have stayed away from hunting for hats.This last month I gave away 3 hats,helping build up some good karma for me.Hoped to send some of that good karma to members that needed it...But I must have kept some for myself.Todays antique shop find.I think it's a old old.

Bought this hat on the internet for 5 euro's (shipping was more: 6,95). I don't know anything about the hat. Only that the crown hight is 12cm en the brim width is 7cm. Maybe it's wool, i don't know, but who cares for 5 euro's. According to the photo's i personally think it's a furfelt hat. But i liked the style and the colour of it and that's why i bought it. Which of the coulours is right (the first 3 pictures or the last one) we will see. Unfortunally the hat has no lining. That's a fantastic find, Chuck. Congrats on that one are in order. I find that hats have the same character as homing pigeons: you let them fly out, but they always seem to come back (even if it's not the same pigeon).

The early ones might have a LOTXXXX stamp on the back of the sweat towards the front of the hat. Great find.

With the brim curl it's a special hat; why would anyone want to tinker with that to make another dime a dozen black hat?
My vote is on putting it back in, Max (and hope Ignacio gets it close enough to its former glory).
