    That's a fantastic find, Chuck. Congrats on that one are in order. I find that hats have the same character as homing pigeons: you let them fly out, but they always seem to come back (even if it's not the same pigeon).

    The early ones might have a LOTXXXX stamp on the back of the sweat towards the front of the hat. Great find.

    With the brim curl it's a special hat; why would anyone want to tinker with that to make another dime a dozen black hat?
    My vote is on putting it back in, Max (and hope Ignacio gets it close enough to its former glory).
