Another Stetson Roadster conversion. Removed the thin leather hat band on this one and replaced it with a 1 inch wide charcoal grey ribbon with double bow.

My other Roadster has a brown matching ribbon. They're my daily go to hats except for hiking and yard work.

Bank account is running scared and doesn't even have a chance the deeper I start diving into these threads. Some beautiful hats.

Got a package from hatsdirect yesterday. A couple of Fed 4s which I think is the style I've always been looking for. But I always wanted a Snowy River. Felt kind of cliche, but what the heck. I can't help myself messing around with the hat shapes, even on the precreased ones. Feel like it kind of makes it custom. So I put in a tighter pinch, deepened the dents some, but the biggest change was flattening the brim. Left it kind of messy. Hoping it breaks in with some character.

That conversion looks great. The bow treatment is wonderful. Well done.

It’s a dense but malleable easy to shape felt 2.75” brim. No size markings or labels but in very good shape, supple sweat. Under the transparent tip liner in gold block letters ..

That ribbon width looks wonderful on that hat! One of these days I'm going to have to look into getting myself a nice mid-ribbon hat.

I'm starting to feel like, not only am I not alone in this (which makes me happy), but I got some serious catching up to do (which makes me worried :).
Oh, you're definitely not alone, and you should be worried. :D
