Wow, this is most wear I've ever seen on a lw. I always thought the topcoat on their hides was so thick, they'd still look like new after 30 years of wear.

The leather is nice and soft as a result however..

I was thinking that too, the way the chest pocket piping is still 100% black but above and below is worn through the finish doesn't make sens to me.
Can't believe someone would take a sander to a LW!
