I spoke to Shawn and we said we'll decide after he sends me the fit pictures. as for the body - the measurements are just as I requested them(gained a bit of weight during these but at least I'm not so skinny anymore :D) It's the sleeve that bothers me and I'll see how the shoulders look in those pictures.

I guess depends on what you're after and how much you want to invest. The fact that I can create my design exactly how I want it and for this amount of money is enough to go for it but I get that not everybody is willing to do this :)

To me, it's quite fun, and when I look at the possibilities for that price it's worth it.

I agree! I’ve seen quite a few “nicer” jackets looking less nice by comparison (including some of my own), particularly with regard to fit, which no amount of money or hide quality and hardware can fix...

I'm with you on this one but again it's up to each person to decide what they prefer.

I just got them, Shawn said he used somebody who doesn't have my body measurements and the shoulders are not pointy.

I will have the sleeves altered before he sends the jacket.

Cool, you're right those shoulders look fine. I think some taper from the elbow down to the wrist would make those sleeves look much better indeed. As-is those sleeve zippers are pretty much useless.

Any pics from the back?

That's exactly what I thought Marc, but it was my mistake as first I messed up the cuff measurement and I didn't specify exactly how I wanted the sleeve to go so I've sent him an image today with the exact measurements around the wrist, forearm, elbow and biceps.

You got me worried with the shoulders but I can see it's not sitting properly on his shoulders.

I'd really want to get all the measurements right as I'm planning to have that design I made done later

OK new info, new assessment :D
Unfortunately those shoulders do look pointy. Personally I'd prefer a bit more taper to the waist but it doesn't look bad.

I thought so, I'll have to see how it fits me.

I do like a bit more taper around the waist too but I'll have to lose some weight for that. If this was 5 years ago would have been slightly different measurements :D

Is that a pattern issue by the way? Can it be fixed?

Both the shoulder and the waist are pattern 'issues'. Giving the jacket some more taper to the waist is a relatively easy job. Addressing the shoulder issue, not so much.
