Fantastic find!

It might be cliche: "felt that molds like clay" .. but it's so true here .. easily among the nicest felt I've ever laid hands on .. just wonderful. Takes any crease without steam, period. It'd had already been bashed like this so I left alone. "Kitten Finish", which I don't think I've seen on a Resistol western before, very similar to finish on a beautiful 50s Stetson 5x I have.

Mallory XV The Dallas. It’s post-Stetson buyout, but it’s wonderfully light felt. The darker photos show the colors more accurately...kind of a buckskin.

I have never seen that kind of size tag paired with that production sticker before.

Stetson 3X beaver homburg in dark brown. Size 7 (56) with the brim at 6cm and the crown 11cm at the center dent. Usually these brown homburgs have a lighter brown colour and I have several of those. I really like this darker shade. It doesn't say St Regis on the sweatband, but the blocknumber is the same: F 296. I think this one is from the early sixties.

Mac Lachlan Beaver 15

Mac Lachlan Beaver 15 - Light Silver
5 inch center dent crown - 5 1/2 Open
2 7/8 brim with Cavanagh edge
2 inch Black grosgrain ribbon
Wind Trolley

It is not hard to see past the moderate mothing on this Mac Lachlan Beaver 15 to see that is was one BEAUTIFUL hat... and really still is. The hand of the felt feels fantastic and it shapes with ease. The brim is a full 2 7/8 with a gorgeous Cavanagh edge. The look and feel of this hat make it hard for me to fathom what the quality would be like on their Fifty Silver Beaver or Max’s grail Golden Beaver 100. Aside from the moth nibbles... none of which go all the way through the felt. It just needed a good brushing that released a good half century or more of dust.. and it really sprung to life. The beautiful brown sweat features the iconic Mac Lachlan Air-Vac Cooling and Cushion system.

Echter Borsalino "Qualità Superiore" "Amiata" "C. Nero" "Gorasti", Size Tag Missing / measures 58cm, possibly late 1930s. This is the first hat of a 9 hat find that took 2 1/2 months to arrive from Germany. The Smooth Finish Felt is of a lighter weight and easily dry creases. There is non elastic Wind Cord which is the type you find in this time period and prior. The gray sweatband has a specialty finish I do not believe I have encountered before. This hat was most likely sold in Eger / Cheb Czechoslovakia (prior to WWI Austria Hungary).
