Cold but sunny today, so a chance to wear another non-insulated moto jacket. I love this jacket though it’s a hard core motorbike riding jacket (one inside pocket only and it’s close fitting) and it’s very beaten up so may not be to everyone’s taste...
I’m also doing some shameless cross-dressing... Honda jacket despite being a longstanding Ducati rider...
Jacket was made to measure in 1991 by a no longer extant UK maker of serious bike leathers, done in the Rothmans Honda colours jacket of legendary racer ‘fast’ Freddie Spencer (minus all the sponsorship patches which were originally on it, but removed long before I got it). Spencer did ride for Ducati later in his career, so maybe it’s not too transgressive of me to wear it
Whether the previous owner of the jacket was fast or not I don’t know, but he clearly tried hard as it has a few crash scuffs. It makes my own 20 year old well used (and once crashed in) Vanson look barely touched, so “chapeau” to him I say...

Indeed it is midnight blue CXL but it’s becoming more green by the wear. I’ve really committed myself to this one, not so much because it’s a spectacular fit (I think it fits OK) but more because I just have to know where this hide will end up on the color scale!
Thanks! I do adore how it fits. It is a dark brown Shinki. They call it black, but it's not actually black in any way. I would call it an espresso brown.
