What Jacket Are You Wearing Today?

Okay, so not the most exciting post. But, today was a day of multiple jackets. Woke up and it was 32°F (0°C). Left my first appointment and it was up to 51°F (10°C). When I got home it was 60°F (15°C). So here are all three jackets I went through today.

Morning: Yves Salomon shearling hooded jacket.

Noon: Patagonia Better Sweater. I'm usually wearing this one in my office/classroom. Took it out today and, sadly, the wind went right through it. Winds in Chicago are 20mph+ today.

Afternoon: Patagonia Snap-T pull over. This one did much better with the wind!

Same here. I remember when this color combo came out. But by the time I saw it, it was sold out. Last summer it popped up on Poshmark NWOT. I snagged it and have been very happy with it. Just don't tell the other one hanging in my closet. It's on the for sale list now.

That may be the nicest jacket the Vanek family has put together! I’m starting to like 4-pocket & collared jackets more and more.

I haven't seen many Vanek jackets aside from that recent thread but I think I know what you mean. The leather on this is super nice and the construction is comparable to beloved TFL staple makers. Don't worry @JMax i got two more coming your way (both in brown though), I'll try to sway you more to get one.

Thanks Randy, i felt it would fit well basing on the measurement numbers but wearing it now makes it all the more sweeter! I think I've figured out what patterns works best for my build but I'm still open to try other patterns (D pocket cross zip/padded CHP cross zip). This is definitely going places with me and ain't going nowhere soon. Happy to take a Vanek jacket to our side of the ocean.

It's definitely chrome tanned steer or cow but it's less heavy than Aero's CXL Steer (4oz) or LW's 4oz+ HH. I would say it's roughly 3-3.25oz.

oh here is still at the peak of wet season, came home from supermarket in heavy thunderstorm just half an hour from taking that pic. But I live in a place surrounded by volcanoes (some slumbering some alive) even when the sun is extreme, the wind is always cool here throughout the year, so as long as I'm in the shade or moving I can enjoy wearing jacket all year round, except for maybe few weeks in october when the air kind of stop moving and heavy at the beginning of rainy season
