Incoming Horween Seal Vermont French Cyclist/German Flyer with Riri zips, awaiting for JL to fit in a detachable cream colored mouton collar with buttons for securement. I haven't seen JL make a detachable collar with buttons before so it will be interesting to see how they go on about doing it.

I'll update the thread as soon as I pick it up.

Man I can't get over how beautiful that graining and texture is on the jacket, and it's brand new!

Beautiful, congrats!!
Thank you @Hh121 this batch of Horween Vermont is really something

That's Beautiful!
Thank you @handymike Can't wait to see the details on the mouton collar secured with buttons

Amazing! Can’t wait to see it on you.
Thank you @JustinW I'll post photos sometime tomorrow

Oof, my goodness, that leather looks amazing!
Man, that looks so wearable right out the gate, let us know how it feels.
I feel it's the best leather they have on offer right now, a couple of other members used this same hide for their project. @Mrfrown already received his cross zip with cafe collar jacket and @JCSD has something cooking with them too.

It's similar to the Masaye in weight and the temper is really soft, this just might be a four season jacket where we live if paired with the right lining

For those interested in the Horween Vermont Horsehide I took a few pics of it in light morning sun. I also wore both a wool sweater and my 24 oz wool Filson vest to fill in the big boy. Just makes me more excited for the trimmer 2.0.

The hide is very soft temper, with a sheen in direct light. Drapes very easily as you can see on the back pic.

The color is rich, but not a lot of depth. There is a lot of character out of the box, little lines and grains here and there, without looking too busy.

It has a solid, comfortable heft. Lighter than the naked cowhide on my Schott 141 but the feel reminds me of that, but a little easier wearing.

Congratz on your jacket Jin! Looks like a beauty. We all know the fit will be spot on (but please post pics anyways, lol) The leather looks awesome on yours and Mrfrown. I really think Horween can compete with any other company in the world including the Italians and Japanese.

Damon is having me ship the jacket and the fitting back. They’re going to compare measurements and make it right.

I measured the jacket ptp and it’s about 23.25”, they were aiming for 22.75” which would have been generous but tolerable.

I was surprised by his response, but very happy. Definitely standing by their work! Now just looking forward to the reworked version
