Interesting that it seems to tuck in well. I like IH shirts but find they do not. That has kept me from buying IH sihrts lately because i dislike the bottoms hanging out below the jacket hem.

Funny, you should mention that! I wanted a tuck-in denim and IH is too short and too "bunchy". The SJ is cut quite long (and also with that "apron-like" shape of dress-shirts to avoid excess material at the sides. It tucks ok, but you feel both the stiffness and the richness of the cloth. Both will gradually get better with break-in, I am sure.

I really can recommend trying SJ out, especially since you are US-based and can avoid the extra for customs/VAT. If you scrape away the social-media hype about woke-ness and community etc. (which I DO like, don´t get me wrong, I just find it a bit rich at times..) you seem to get a great product.

Is this "outerwear"? I guess it qualifies, as long I wear it as an outer layer, right...? :)

"Townes"-Shirt. My first ever purchase from Ship John. Must say, the best denim shirt I have had yet. Expensive (especially post import) but something special for sure. Much stiffer than IH although it feels thinner. Reminds me of the shirts Indigofera does, but with a slightly more subtle design and enhanced versatility. I will enjoy every single day of break-in and aging!

I too have been considering the Townes shirt- looks good!

And thanks for the laugh :D

cool grainy looking jeans, is that your new conner's jeans.
btw why don't stuff the dangling carkeys and things into your front pocket, I mean still hanging on the belt, but capture the loose hanging ends into the front pocket, that's how I carry my usb stick, small SAK, keys, etc. when I ride my bicycle since I'm afraid one day the hook or clasp might fail on me, and I drop my house key while cycling without feeling it. Looks much neater too off the bike.

separate issue, I find out coins and keys (metals) age raw/ leather FAST, if you have a fresh belt clip or keychain fob, etc. put it inside a pot or pouch where you store coins, it will patina leather really fast.

Yes these are my new Conners jeans. With how thick my thighs are and the fact that I HATE having anything in my front pockets means that I absolutely refuse to do that. I tried it a couple times in the past and it was incredibly irritating for me personally.

Don't need nothing else in life.

Well... I mean, your entire jeans. You've got a perfect jacket, super cool shirt, deadly boots, on point hair style and then those gigantic, tubular denim tunnels with sharp angles sticking out of seven different directions. But it could be they're just too new and will look nicer once seriously broken in but as it stands, I have never seen those wide jeans doing anyone much good.

But on the other hand, that don't mean anything as I'm generally biased against wide jeans in general. I understand they were made stupidly wide to not get in the way of physical labor while providing a durable, protective shell but as far as the looks go, anything that's negating ones physique to such an extent is a no go in my book.

The first pair @Marc mndt posted, worn by thedenimdentist, is IMO perfect. Perfectly balanced. I even dig the length.

I couldn't disagree much more. I despise slim jeans with every fiber of my being. I won't even say my full opinions on how I think they look on anyone, let alone me. They look even worse on me than they look on anyone else though.

Jeff's Warehouse jeans fit him wonderfully. However, I physically cannot achieve that fit because my body is so different from his. I actually have posted jeans with similar measurements to those Warehouse jeans that he has and they look absolutely nothing alike.

Here is another example:

This is another friend of mine from forums/IG. We are almost the same height and pretty much the same waist size as well. These are the same pair of trousers worn in the exact same size. Look how different they look on us. Specifically, look how much slimmer and more tapered mine look thanks to my top block.

I think you're (not) seeing something that we do (not) - Or rather, it feels to me you are too... Focused on details that don't really, well, translate into reality as dramatically as it may appear to you. But this is interesting; You've clearly got a very precise vision what you're trying to achieve with your jeans, which to me is super commendable 'cause I'm the same, just on a different aspect, but that particular thing or vibe or whatever... I personally would honestly need to see a real life example of this inspiration you're going from 'cause all your jeans frankly look pretty much the same to me. Not bad! Just like you're wearing wide, blue jeans.

Haha, but I guess we're mostly all like that 'cause that's pretty much what our leather jackets look to everyone else but us so maybe I'm just not seeing it but what I said earlier, once you've got jeans so wide they lose shape, there's nothing for me to focus on.

Case in point, pics you've posted. Both pants look pretty much the same on you, just that your legs are a bit more tapered toward the cuffs because you cuffed them more and there's an obvious difference in length as his are broken by his shoes and yours hang straight.

Wide jeans don't look bad. It's a look. I'm not a fan but that doesn't mean I hate it. I hate it on myself. But there's no denying that they make any person look shorter and wider, especially when cuffed.

By the by, that's a really good looking and even better fitting jacket you got on this pic.
