WTB: Quality Classic Cross zip / Perfecto / Double rider, sz. 38-40

As stated; I am, yet again, looking to get one last, ultimate cross-zip leather jacket.

Ideally, something vintage & perfect, like Sportclad but anything good, high-end & high quality will do.

Couldn't care less about the brand as long as it's exactly what I want. Fine Creek is fine but I'll be just as happy with that perfect Sears or something of a sort as well so tags mean little to me.

Size 38 to 40.

I'm not interested in D-pockets or CHP's; Only classic Perfectos.

Would prefer to do business within Europe but if the jacket is absolutely perfect, location is irrelevant.

Thanks y'all!

You know I have the perfect Bates CR for you. It's got everything, including the belt, and looks better than what Arnold was wearing in the Terminator. :) Mine is from the yellow lining era and is a tagged 42, which means it's really a large 38.

Let's do this if the measurements work! I forgot all about Bates but yeah, that'd take care of it!

Hi monitor
Last year I bought this gem from @dannyk
https://www.thefedoralounge.com/threads/vanson-e-or-c2-classic-cw-sold.102545/#post-2742233

Selling it cause I got a Langlitz Columbia in goatskin and I really don’t need to have 2 crosszips in my wardrobe, I kinda feel bad this one is not been used and worn as it deserves.

I was thinking on posting it here in the classifieds soon.

I paid $275. Let me know if you are interested

That's an excellent jacket. I remember when Danny was selling it. I gave your kind offer a long thought and for now, I would prefer to try to acquire something that's new to me, something I haven't had yet and I know nothing else I get can compare to Vanson, I'm just too accustomed with the brand for it to surprise me - Something that I believe is a huge part of this hobby.

But that's for NOW! If nothing turns up in a week, I'll contact you for sure. Are you located in the US?

Speaking of Danny, I wish I bought the second cross zip he was selling at the time. I'll never forgive myself for not getting that one. . .

It would be too short all over. I did all the calculations I could and it wouldn't work.

Sportclad or Durable huh? An aristocrat. Who knew. Lol.

I wish I had something for you. Afraid none of it would fit.

I think one reaches a certain point past which nothing lesser can be tolerated, something I am sure you can only agree with, being a man of culture as well.

Even though I was not aware of such a position, I have no doubt now that my genes combined in a way they did specifically for it. I'm in.

Thanks to @ksozay, I think this quest is pretty much completed. For now. I'm still interested in whatever super cool but I don't think I'll score a better jacket than the Bates cross zip any time soon.

Definitely not. I won't ever forget, when I unboxed the jacket @ton312 sent me, first time ever in this hobby that I was speechless with the quality. The jacket felt like a professional NASA piece of equipment compared to literally everything else. Lost Worlds was impressive but Bates CR was another level altogether. I'm hoping for the same effect out of the cross zip.

Here it is...

That is sweet. The real deal. E and this Highwayman are tops in the style. And the most functional. I miss mine.
