Legendary USA Black Stallion is Back

Measurements on the Legendary page have changed (hem width is the same, and the chest is an obvious mistake, but the shoulders, sleeves, and back length are concerningly longer now) so I'm contacting support to find out if that's accidental.
I see the price has also increased to $918. I’ve got to think that back length is incorrect. The longest Schott motorcycle jacket that I’ve ever owned might have been 26 inches long and most were more like 24 or 25. If something truly is funky with the length, my fallback is to return it and get a Schott 641hh (which was the plan before the Stallion magically appeared).

Where are you seeing the different measurements and can you post them here? I'm seeing a new image with the measurements on the item page, but the numbers are the same as yesterday as far as I can remember.

In the mean time a different chart was up there, which had much longer measurements. It has since been fixed. (I just posted the new chart before seeing you had too.)

Given the waist measurement, I think the best Schott jacket to use the automatic size calculator on to figure out your size in this will be the 613S (not the horsehide 613SH which has an issue with the calculator–tells me one size down from the S when they're the same jacket only the SH is stiffer, making downsizing very unpleasant as I experienced).

Click "Fit Guide" on this page.

You probably don't need it. I'm just suggesting it for someone who has no frame of reference for cross zips.

If a 20" hem works for you, the 42 will work for you.

TFL is not homogenous. Like you (and me) there are exclusively second hand buyers, there are leather pants lovers, even grizzly jacket lovers. But a HH Schott d-pocket has a more universal appeal in the TFL-dom, and I am not surprised people are jumping in if the price is right. Nice jackets.

I got 44 on the Schott size o meter using the choice of “slim“ which is what I ordered.

Some have suggested that this tool steers people to size up (in an effort to limit returns) but my experience (successes and failures) has found it to be spot on. Good call on using the 613S for reference!

It will be interesting to see if there is enough inventory available at Legendary if someone does need to attempt an exchange due to size choice. We may also be able to accomplish some of that on here.

Ah yes I meant to note 613S set to slim, which got me the 42 that my 613SH is (the 613SH calculator with the same setting gives me 40–and when I tried one on I couldn't move my arms).

This will be my first jacket with an exposed zipper that’s not silver. I’m kind of a one trick pony with the black leather, silver hardware thing. I’m not completely sure if I’ll be able to come to terms with the antique brass colored zippers or not but I’ve always wanted a Schott D pocket so this fits the bill pretty well. I‘ve been looking but haven’t run across many in the pre-owned market and when I did they were quite expensive. Actually just paid less for this new one (with the discount) than the last one I saw on eBay.

When Schott was clearing out the last stock of their D-Pocket Perfecto (625) last year, it down to about $750 and I nearly bought it. With this (even at the full price), we're getting that, plus more sizing accuracy due to numbered sizes instead of S/M/L, and a mouton collar.

No size recommendation for me lol
Good thing I don't want a Schott right now.

There’s another jacket on the same pattern (519) that comes longer; in the size that would fit you (L, with a 23.5 P2P), it has a 26.75” back length, so you would be covered. Just saw that the 519 is on sale at a fashion site so I will post in the deals thread.

Anybody else do not use the Schott calculator? They always err on sizing one size bigger (IMHO) for IDK what reason I just used my historical measurements; 22in P2P, 18in shoulder, and 18.5in waist. Similar measurements to when I had my 618hh tailored to me. Also my DH Innovator fits me with a 22in P2P too...

So I just copped one in 38. Which I am in most American sizes anyway and I am not planning to layer with more than a thin hoodie.

Same result with the 519 ;-)
The size calculator does not work with my measurements.

I had the same issue but I have pretty conventional measurements. Can you try temporarily with a different browser/private mode or similar?
With other measurements the size calculator works. e.g. 180 cm, 78 kg, 102 cm chest gives size 42.

I find anything over 6'3" in height and it just says "this style may not fit your desired look", regardless of other measurements.

I'm still a bit worried about whether or not I made the right choice in getting a 42 over a 44, lol. Someone please reassure me. I'm 6'4 190lb with a 42" chest.
