Anyone have experience with Tin Duck trucker jackets? I purchased a pair of his pants from Tony and sice have ordered two more pair. Rugged heavy pants nice pattern and detailing. I notice the sole priorietor is not making pants currently because he is backlogged making trucker jackets. He has also raised the price for pants from $160 t0 $220. I am considering ordering a trucker jacket in 24 or waxed till Tan unlined.

I stumbled across your post researching Tin Duck Denim myself. Did you ever make a purchase? Like you, I'm interested in the tan 24oz trucker jacket. I've found exactly one youtube video with the jacket. It was fresh out of the box so not a helpful review.

Yes. Phenomenal. 27-oz duck!!!! Blows Ship John out of the water. $500 for a custom and no 5 year wait I am guessing. If someone is in the market, I recommend calling Tin Duck post haste, lest redditors swamp the guy with orders.

@jonbuilder I have 2 Tin Duck Denim Trucker Jackets, both in 24 oz with wool lining. I love both my jackets. Jason, the owner, is a one-man shop and very responsive to emails. I don't know if he still offers this service, but since everything is made to order, he used to do custom measurements for free. I wanted double-pull zippers and an extra internal pocket and he did those free of charge.

The fit is boxier. I'm usually an XL or **L depending on the manufacturer, and I wear a L in this jacket. For reference, 'm 5'7, 200lbs, 46" chest and 19.5" shoulders. The L fits me like a glove.

My most recent jacket was purchased in July 2023 and it was about a 2.5 month wait. If you can wait, I would wait till Black Friday. He usually offers 15% discounts around the holidays. His Instagram and Facebook page are pretty good at listing these sales.

Note: The shipping is an additional $20.

I've had my eye on one of these for awhile and almost pulled the trigger last time he had a sale. I think his jackets look like they keep getting better and better. I grabbed a denim chore coat second hand off poshmark and really like it.

How is the fit on these in terms of movement? Almost every trucker I've had has been restrictive, but I've read these are cut quite comfortably.

I JUST recieved my Tin Duck Trucker today. I have been going over it, wearing it, for a couple hours now and wanted to post here to give you some more info on top of what is already here.

1) Very, VERY, well made. Fit and finish, stitching quality is really really good. Jason told me before on a call he has decades in industrial sewing and it shows.

2) pattern - Top notch, I ordered my jacket ever so slightly larger in measurements than I normally would. I wanted to actually layer under it but still wear it in spring with a tshirt and not look too big. The pattern is very flattering. It hangs on my body much better than my Ship John. It looks great with layers or not.

3) price - honestly it is quite good for what you get here. the outter is great, options are nice, wool liner is a game changer.

4) wait time - substanbtial. but worth it in the end. I ordered mine Feb 3 2025 and recieved it today. However I bugged Jason on numerous occations for updates along the way and he was always courteous and forthcoming. I'd say order it in Winter so you can forget it over summer and look forward to it in later fall.

Jason is very friendly, talented obviously, and puts a lot of personal touch into his items. You are ordering from a one man shoe so be respectful of the wait time and process. Best jacket in the space by far.

I have owned Ship John, Tin Duck now and Filson Tin cloth and this Tin duck trucker is heads and shoulders above the others,
