Yeah, I love this 656H model. Tried it on in NYC and it was definitely premium Schott. If I was in the market, I'd be keeping an eye on this one (may look for a used one at some point).

The perfecto and so many other cross zips just look amazing with mouton collars. I had the RMC fur collar with my McCoy's J24 and it was both form and function. I think I need to get some custom ones made for some of my keeper jackets. Usually bust out the shearling by the time it's that cold, but the removable fur collar definitely makes a jacket more versatile.

They do and the cost isn't crazy. It's a little more than the faux fur ones.
I’ve had 3 genuine mouton made. I think cost was around $130 each? I don’t personally find that to be all that crazy. Love my collars. I don’t regret it!

Looks great! Did you have to send in your jacket for fitting? I think I asked Schott about this but having a non-current model (not that it's crazy old it's just an older-ish 618) I think means they need the jacket to be sent in for fitting. Can't imagine a standard size one would not fit mine though...

I had to send mine in because it didn't come with snaps anyway so those needed to be installed. If yours already has snaps, maybe you can give them some measurements to provide the right collar size.

I,m interested in this Perfecto. Does anyone know, if the linning is " warmer' then the standard linning of Schott. I,m looking for a jacket for the colder days in Munich

I have one on order but the date keeps getting pushed back. Based on the literature i see no reason to believe it is warmer than a standard perfecto

Just arrived. Medium had been backordered since July.

Initial impressions:

Leather is SUPER soft. Zero break in required. Weight feels closer to 626 than 618 but i cannot confirm. Color is rich deep brown. Reminds me of an Eastman a2.

I posted measurements previously. This medium fits similar to my size 40 613. Two noticeable differences. No footballs. I would prefer to have them for the increased mobility rather than have a sleek profile. That said, the first thing i did was get on the motorbike and the mobility is certainly sufficient. The forearms are noticeably wider. I do not need to unzip to take on or off including while wearing a watch.

Mouton is nice enough. Not nearly as thick as LW or Eastman but this may be advantageous. Those are so thick i find they push on the back of my neck.

Hardware is shiny. I’m assuming it will dull. I hope so anyhow.

Gold quilted liner is fun.

I don’t thoroughly look at stitching. Casually everything looks straight and tight.

Congrats! Looks stunning. Not a fan of soft leathers myself, other than that, I’d be super tempted!

It’s so wearable though. You don’t have the it’s wearing you phase. Also makes it seems more accommodating for slightly warmer weather

Could you explain how the collar attaches? I have a P613s and it has lapel snaps but I'm not sure if it's compatible with a Mouton.

Just saw this. It feels less warm but is likely the same. Definitely not warmer
