I agree it's a relaxed pattern. I like my jackets slim and this one isn't, although I like the way it fits. Mine is quite short , the bottom hem just covers the belt. It's also one of the most comfortable of my Aero jackets (the other being a type 3). Every time I wear it, I know I'll keep it.

Thanks. I know it’s sort of part of their schtick, but the variety of Aero’s sizing can be quite overwhelming and has stopped me taking a punt on quite a few used jackets. Maybe I’ll finally go for it.

Wifey is looking to buy this RL jacket, I think we can do better... Any makers stand out for ladies with a comparable design and higher quality leather?

I can only see the picture you've posted as it redirects me to my region's landpage. That one looks like a hybrid of a racer and a crosszip.

I've never seen one, but I'm aware that both Schott and Vanson have women jackets, so you might want to give them a look as I would guess their quality is the same as for men's.

I’m watching a jacket on eBay. The seller refuses to do measurements or respond to questions, but says it’s a size medium because he is 5’8 and 150lbs and it fits him well. Am I wrong in thinking that it’s more likely to be a 36 or 38?

The irony is that his price is good, but there are 47 people with the jacket on their watch-list yet it keeps getting relisted because he’s too much of a jerk to get out a tape measure and sell it.
If it's really a good price, and a jacket you really are seeking, it may be worth taking the BIN risk, especially if it's something you could turn and re-sell (with proper measurements & details). I've wound up with a couple nice jackets this way, and also turned and re-sold a few as well.

How does a veg tan drum dyed aniline black jacket age? Does it patina or just crease / the grain becomes more visible?
