Anyone heard of Berg river?

Anyone heard of or used the brand berg river? I found out they do customs so I was just wondering if anyone has ordered from them before. They are a Chinese brand but their stuff looks pretty decent from what I have seen of them. I'm thinking it may be similar to real Simon's but they make custom jackets also. Anyways just seeing if anyone has any info. Thanks

After looking more at their stuff and the reviews I'm definitely gonna be having them do a custom for me. Thought I'd share this info.

I asked about leather thickness and they said currently they have up to 2.3mm thickness for horsehide. I'm talking to them on taobao. That's how you order from them. I'll ask if they use shinki or a shinki type leather.

Here's some images they gave me and also some I found from reviews. They didn't claim shinki but they said it's good reliable leather. They also offer deerskin. Ive seen a few other brands that look decent as well if you'd like me to dig more. One being lil monster overalls.

I am no expert in leather jackets but the hookless/talon combination of the zipper strikes me as odd for a new repro.

Ok nevermind I misread "shrink" for "shinki" in that IG post.
Either way, looks quite interesting, do a review once you get something from them, will be interesting to read.
As it stands it's a completely unknown and obscure brand from China.

So while I was looking around I did find one other company that says it does have shinki hikaku. It's called "tired children". I can post some stuff on them if you want. I'll contact them later to confirm about it being true shinki but it lists on their page that they carry it and showed some pictures of what looks like the facility. It says they also do customs as well for this company. Might have to go with this one first after finding out about it since they carry shinki.

Mm the Chinese seems to be making a few designs of well known models now, but it doesn't surprise me in the least, look at this grizzly jacket

I'm unsure of the quality of those brands but I've heard good things about real Simon's. And the other brand I was looking at earlier (tired children) carries some primo leather so I'll probably be buying from them shortly if I can find a size I think will fit me properly. They have tochigi leather also as well as other Italian and Japanese leather.

Oh I understand perfectly, I was just saying that the Chinese now are getting more canny at copying and making jackets and yes some Horsehide, but then haven't the Chinese been doing this for years aiming at the more budget mainstream pocket

For sure. I guess tired children is out of shinki at the moment. They have Italian maryam and horween leather leftover. Now unsure if I want to order. Only way to order from them is to use a forwarder which is kind of a pain.

Plus you have to remember that us here are the 5% who are particular and knowledgeable enough to know what we want, China is catering now for stuff that still looks good to the other percentage who wouldn't know their Shinki from their shagpile :D
