All - Haven't forgotten about the further pics. Just been busy with the holidays. I shall have some up shortly.

I'm still on my beloved, classic European city bike-inspired Breezer Uptown on the right, and now Stephanie has gotten herself a bike - a Haro Maude cruiser, shown on the left, customized with a front basket, bell, bottle holder, front brake, and LED head & tail lights. Now we can ride together...

Having reblocked and reshaped my Squatter and worn it more, I must say that it is a fabulous hat. I also can't agree now with the statement that the Imperial quality DM Squatter is "better" than my Superfine quality - the two felts are different, and for different purposes, but I wouldn't say...

Just FYI - the grey Federation is Carbon Grey. Moonstone is indeed a much, much lighter color. Carbon Grey is very dark. (As an aside, I have never come across another Federation as soft as that Carbon Grey one of mine. My Mid Brown was like a pith helmet at first but it's softened up a lot...

The ribbon is green as well, though not precisely the same color as the felt. It's actually a pretty nice effect, especially when combined with the edge binding.

I'm considering keeping it the way it is. My significant other said she thought it looked cool, so that's another pretty good endorsement. :) I'll work on it tonight and see what I think. It's pretty soft, so I don't expect much trouble in the shaping department.

I'll get a daylight photo tomorrow, when the sun is up again. :) There's nothing especially *wrong* with the porkpie crease. Just not sure if that's my thing. I need to get the brim like I want it before I make a judgement, though. The brim's a full 3 inches, I believe, which is bigger...

There should never be a remake of "Forbidden Planet" - I could see no way to improve on the greatness of the original. Naturally, though, there is already a (sort of) remake in the works.
