Hey everyone.
I picked up a vintage polo coat, and was wondering who the maker of this coat might have been, and when it was made.
It has a union label which says "ACTWU - Union Made in the USA." I did a search and found another thread on the lounge which indicated the union existed from...
I think I made a mistake by posting the same thread across 3 forums to get more options, I ended up with decision fatigue.
I ended up ordering this one. Something about the texture just felt perfect.

I like this one too.
"This woven seagrass straw is not as firm as hard felt styles therefore runs slightly large. We suggest if you are in between sizes to size down."
A...
I dig it. Sold out in a medium though, but available in large.
I don't know much about sizing, but I do know that i'm between sizes.
Excellent link, thank you.

This one looks nice, though...

Anyone know of a hat that is under $150 CAD that I can buy?
Something in a colour similiar to this, as opposed to a more classic stark white/cream.
I don't really know much about hats, except most look awful on me. I've a large head, and a small face. I...
Hmmm, not sure if you need me to take my own specific pictures

in the same colour as this russet jacket

Warmth definitely. It feels like a heavy, stiff jacket with just a cotton lining, it's about as...
It was a US Authentic Sportster with alterations done to it.
I think it's drum dyed, and the finish of the leather does not have that vegetable tanned feel to it. It's bulky and not particularly warm. Bought it with the intention of wearing it every day, but at this point it feels like useless...
Isn't cordovan generally described as full grain leather?
I had no idea some of the jackets posted here were not top grain, that's what I assumed they were considering how much better they looked with wear and tear. Is there a page you can suggest so I can read up on all of this?
I was...
Hmm, interesting.
Quality was definitely a factor, but once again, this is quite thick, well constructed, and heavy, which is contradictory to me. I'm used to buying full grain leather shoes which typically do have superior quality to lesser hides used. The way it feels and wears is also...
I was not aware of that, thanks for telling me Seb.
What brands DO use full grain leather, and around what price range? Now I'm thinking Schott does not use full grain leather either for most of their $600-750 models.
Can you post pictures of yours?
I just received my sportster. It fits well and looks great. My only disappointment is that it's genuine leather and not full grain leather and feels plasticky, but it is indeed thick and heavy.
You guys nailed it 100%! It's definitely about the MTM fit for the skinny guy(but not with materials that would fall apart in a year, ex: Zara). I'd fall into the same crowd, young and skinny, and I have trouble finding a proper fitting jacket OTR.
My plan was to go ToJ, but I wasn't patient...
