I too have the Hat Jack and have found it very useful for stretching a hat I have. I used a shoe stretcher liquid on the leather band first, and then steamed before putting the Jack inside. It worked very well

The white balance needs adjusting to obtain a correct colour! You can do this in camera or the software on your computer.

Thank you for that advice. That's a real good start. I am currently awaiting the conformer and samples, so even that, at this stage, is exciting. Whilst I am waiting, I will take your advice and "look around", developing some early ideas. I will also get some photographs of myself together, so...

Thanks Thanks everyone for your ideas. I used a wooden stretcher, liquid stretcher for the band and steam for the felt. Combination did exactly what I wanted. Thanks for your imput.

I have now taken the first step in having a hat made by art....can't wait. Can any UK Lounger (or other in the know!) tell me the cost of import duty on an Art Fawcett creation please?
