The Processes Of Hat Making: Woodrow pamphlet scans

What an awesome pamphlet! Woodrow is one of my all time favourite hat makers - I've always wondered how top hats were made. :eusa_clap

4 Piece Grey Morning Suit for Sale 38R-L 34W 33IL

A friend and I are liquidating our collection of vintage clothes at the moment on OFAS. This suit might interest members of the Fedora Lounge. It is a 4 Piece grey morning suit made probably in the 1960s, but with high waisted trousers and a double breasted waistcoat. It's in fantastic...

In fact, having explored this website further there are a great many Montague Burton catalogues from the 30s here! More can be found here along with the previous and following pages...

    Hand-Crank Coffee Grinders

SPONG You want to buy a vintage SPONG. My family have had one since when I was born, and we've got one now. They come up on ebay quite often and are quite cheap but they do the job magnificently and last for years. The domestic model is/was called SPONG No. 1 and works like a dream! Hope this...

New Gieves and Hawks - Ridiculous!

Quite so - if you look at the rest of the stuff in previous collections it's all fairly normal and very stylish stuff that I'd love to have in my wardrobe... They do seem to be moving in the direction of 'fashion'...

New Gieves and Hawks - Ridiculous!

http://www.gievesandhawkes.com/en/gieves-and-hawkes/collections/autumn-winter-2007/?pagenumber=4&rowsperpage=1&_pagestatus=view I love the colour of the cardigan - i've always had a softspot for cableknit... It looks so very pretty.

New Gieves and Hawks - Ridiculous!

I was perusing the new Gieves and Hawkes A/W collection, which I have to say was generally quite nice (though out of my price range), when I came accross this - http://www.gievesandhawkes.com/en/gieves-and-hawkes/collections/autumn-winter-2007/?pagenumber=7&rowsperpage=1&_pagestatus=view...

On EBAY now. Stetson Imperial Homburg US 7 3/8 UK 7 1/4 EUR 59cms

I posted a thread on this hat a while back. It was too big then and it's too big now, so off to ebay it goes. I tried stuffing the sweatband with foam but it still didn't really fit - it's a true 59. Also I think the Homburg style (at least with this one) is too big for my face... Anyhow, it's...

1945 British DB three piece suit (photos).

I was watcing that suit at the end just to see how much it went for 'cos it's the best demob suit I think I've seen on ebay and to be honest should probably have gone for more! If it had been in my size (smaller on the chest, longer in the legs and arms) then I'd have had a crack at it... As it...

    Homburg Recommendations

It looks nice that brown homburg - they are quite rare, and to be honest I think it looks better than the more traditional black ones... If you want a traditional English Homburg from the old makers - you can still get them - they are really expensive though - $360 from Lock & co...

    Homburg Recommendations

I've got a friend who has a really narrow chiseled face - he makes brims of under 2" look like much more - which is useful as they're usually a lot cheaper than 2 1/4 +. I think I look best in the low 2s...

    Homburg Recommendations

I agree the churchill is very nice - sad to hear about the corleone though - it looks attractive on the site, but the last thing you want is to look like a pimp! The Prince Albert's got a bit too wide a brim for taste - 3" on a homburg is massive!
