The hat is a Portis fur felt. It says "Super-Lux" inside on the sweatband and it says "The New Look" inside on the crown. It is definetely vintage but I really don't know how old it is. -Paul

The condition is actually very good considering its age. When I first got it, the front buttons were all very loose and felt like they might tear off and the liner needed to be restitched to the coat at the cuffs, but I had my mom mend all that. Other than that there are no stains or tears...
