I agree with the OP. I think more people these days believe "the squeaky wheel gets the grease," and rather than be cordial, they feel "standing up for their rights" is the more urgent matter (as in the example of the blocked shopping aisle, and so on).
There is a lot of vulgarity these...
This was OUR DAY to go thrift store shopping!
We got this RCA Victor Victrola Model 67V1 (1946) ~
It has the swivel-out radio controls. A.M. radio, shortwave, and a phonograph.
The radio works!
This is my husband's rocking chair.
It's made of walnut with oak, maple, and pine inlay. It had a tin bottom to it, since changed.
Held together with wood screws and bolts.
Has anyone seen a chair like this? He's wondering about it, how old it might be, etc.
TIA
Those shoes are simply DIVINE!
Really stunning. You're like me, though; you buy things from Thrift Shops a lot and get spoiled to that....I would have a cow, too, at the price - but, a little splurging once in a while is OKAY. LOL.
I mean, you are buying something you will use...
The "You just received an e-card from...", is big right now.
I regularly get, "You just received an e-card from a school friend, suitor, long-lost family member," or whatever --- they are trying to get you to click on the link that's in there --- I just delete without reading them.
Very fetching. I was on youtube last night, and there are several good hairstyling videos there. They even had one on how to make a Gibson girl hairstyle, which I am partial to.
I'm a big fan of cuckoo clocks. We had one when I was small.
I'm going to get one in the near future. I'm fascinated by them. Does anyone have a cuckoo clock, and do you have pics?
