    Best leather jacket brands?

I think Italy is easily on par with Britain / America & Japan for leather goods - infact, I think Stewart may make LVC leather jackets? I'm not entirely sure. Unfortunately, Italian clothes shops tend to have very poor e-commerce sites and Italian brands seem to be firmly set on the Continent...

    Best leather jacket brands?

To the OP: Go for an Italian producer - simple leather jackets, especially bombers and the like are their speciality - they rarely get a mention on here to be honest, but the Italian stuff is just as well made as anything in the UK albeit it's hard to get in the English speaking world (mostly...

    Himel's New Steerhide Jackets

The only one I like really is the cafe racer, but it could do with side pockets and the elbow pads area big no no.

    Short Highwayman Jacket

Also, any shorter UK fellas should have a look at it - it's on ebay UK at the moment; it was made-to-order and the guy is 5ft 8", so perfect height for shorter blokes.

    Short Highwayman Jacket

Just measured my Aero A-2, which is also horsehide, and that's 24.5" to the hem (not including the knit) - and that's a good length. I think this would be too short unfortunately, although everything else is fine. These jackets seem to come up ridiculously big - this highway was a size 36 and...

    Short Highwayman Jacket

Has anyone here about 5ft 10 / 11 and got a shorter highwayman? Length around 23"? I'm looking at one that errs on the shorter side at 23", I personally would have liked an extra .5 - 1" I reckon, though 23 is doable as a cropped jacket. Anyone got one that short and have fit pics?

Hi, what do these measure on the thigh and hem?

Hair won't really slick back/part with new pomade?

Do you really want to be using an old style oil based pomade? Bit of a leap from not using any hair product to using oils, which are pretty hardcore in this day and age. If you have a big thing about washing out the hair product for when you sleep then you need to give the oil based products...

Aero HWM - Steerhide - Cordovan

Maybe the 1930s would be better - I'm pretty lean, though I'm not skinny, so maybe the slimmer cuts would be more flattering? I don't know - I'd need to try it on. Aero have just uploaded some stock jackets on their sale page so I might just err on the side of caution and see what they're all...

Aero HWM - Steerhide - Cordovan

The fit should be spot on. I'm just under 6ft, weigh about 12 stone 6 pounds, my chest is about 39.5" / coming on to 40" - a regular medium, in other words. I've got an Aero A-2 in horsehide that's a 40, and that measures 22" across the chest and 18" in the shoulders (from memory) - so a bog...

Aero HWM - Steerhide - Cordovan

I'd just be knocking about in it....hmmmm, I'll have to think about it, it's still fairly pricey & for a couple hundred extra I could get something from Aero. I doubt I'd recoup what I'd pay for it if I didn't get on with it.

Aero HWM - Steerhide - Cordovan

I've possibly got the opportunity to get one of these second hand - anyone have any experiences with them in the steerhide? Not sure about the cordovan tbh, but from reading threads on here the steerhide might be a bit too rigid & cumbersome as a run of the mill jacket?

Some perspective on leather jacket pricing?

I don't think it is - their application was rejected by Westminster Council by all account, I believe. They wanted to modify a listed building! Idiots!

Some perspective on leather jacket pricing?

It's because it's a focal point or hodgepodge of all outlets across the USA & Europe - so it's a mix of British high street brands, like Topman / River Island / Burton / Next / Asos / Jigsaw / Reiss / All Saints interspersed with European brands, like Mango / H&M + you've got American brands...

Some perspective on leather jacket pricing?

I don't think you can really say £100-£150 for a suede jacket is overpriced to be honest. It's as cheap as it's going to get for the materials used. All Saints are fairly expensive - if you're talking about the most accessible, mass produced leather jackets available, then Britain has lots in...
