Not sure how "vintage" this looks, but I ran it through one of those "old photo" filters they have on some websites. I thought it turned out pretty well.

My father's uncle was station agent for the C&O at Thurmond in the 1940s thru early 1960s. Largest agency in $$$ terms, of C&O, thanks to the many coal branches in the area.

It is mind boggling how much tonnage, and passengers for that matter, passed through Thurmond in those days.

No problems with buttoning the bottom button on a jacket. It's vests/waistcoats that the bottom button is left undone
