I have bought an Akubra hat, supposedly bought in Australia but here is no sweatband nor hatband. There is, what looks like an original Akubra "patch" inside the hat but no model designation.
Are there Akubra fakes around or do they sell discount models?
I haven't gotten it home yet, so I only have the photos to go by and I can't discern any needle holes from a removed band.
I bought it unseen, you can't go much wrong at a price of 8$
