Lost Worlds Ryder XL

Absolutely flawless and brand new Horsehide Ryder from Lost Worlds. This jacket is 100% new and will require serious breaking in. Russet brown HH. It's just too big for me to wear. White heavy canvas pocket bags and lined in LW's spectacular flight nylon. For the right sized guy this is a gem of a jacket. Tagged a 48" but to me fits closer to a 46". Please look at the measurements below.

Measures:

24.75" p2p

20" across shoulders

26" length (not incl. collar)

26" sleeve around natural curve

Brand new LW at 1/2 the cost! Please ask any questions. This jacket needs a home where it will see some wear!
$550 shipped to TFL folks

Great jacket! I know everyone has a preference on this sort of thing, but how is this style of jacket supposed to fit? I have a LW J-100 46 with 23" p2p and nearly similar measurements for everything else. I have an inch or two of give, but the jacket is comfortable. I wonder, would another 3.5" feel like I'm swimming in the jacket? And what's the oz weight on this one? 3.5? 4?

I had a j-23 as well and it felt far more tapered. This jacket doesn't drop much from chest to waist, even with the belt pulled all the way in. I believe this is 4oz but I'm not sure. It's heavy and stiff as a board. I'm not swimming in it. I'm 5'11 and down to about 205lbs at the moment. I think this would fit someone 220lbs and up. I believe this is 4oz. It's the same hide as my j-23 was and that was 4. I'll post some pics with the measurements this afternoon. It doesn't measure much different than my Aero but it does fit much larger.

I know some jackets should fit more tapered than others. The stiff part wouldn't concern me much, breaking these suckers in is half the fun. But I'm sort of in that grey area with sizing. I'm 6'3" 220, but depending on how a jacket is sized, cut, constructed, etc., I can fit in as small as a 42 on some models and go up to a 46 in others. It sounds like a 48 for this jacket might be too big for my body type. It's usually been my experience that LW can size a little bigger, at least judging from other jackets I have gotten in the past. That kills me, too, cause this is such a great deal.

Thank god! The numbers on that one were perfect for me and the temptation was getting harder to fight by the minute.

I really wish it had fit...I forgot just how nice Stu's hide and craftsmanship are...the thing is sewn to the nuts and the hide is really appealing imho.
