1) Lucchese boots , out of Texas manufacture. Been "keen" for 30+ years , still have every pair , total 20.
Alligator/Ostrich/Crocodile/Moose/Rattlesnake/Python/Calf/Buffalo and more. (NO ELEPHANT, can't do that !)
Wear a different pair each day when riding my Harley(s) over the years , less so now as my annual K's are well down
I wear them as daily wear in our Western Australian "winter" , but they are all too hot if not riding in the summer !
2) Bausch & Lomb Ray-ban sunglasses , USA (Rochester) manufactured for the most part. OVER 100 pairs
Maybe a dozen in regular "different pair" each day roster/cycle. First pair bought 35+ years ago.
First pair of Black "Dirty Harry" style Baloramas bought in Tenerife around 1986.
These were stolen from my 1978 Corvette in Scotland around 1992. Started the "quest" to replace them.
I now have every colour (sorry "color" !) option Balorama ever made since the 1960's. Collected worldwide
Many of my styles I have found trawling independent Opticians stores are brand new NOS and I don't wear them.
Since the rise of the internet/ebay the collection GREW exponentially ( as we all know !)
Some of my sunglass collection are now relatively valuable , which was NOT the original plan !
3) Levi jeans. 504/604/505/501 Every colour option Fawn/Brown/Grey/Black/Indigo ( NO STONEWASH EVER !)
Preferred option Australian made 604 because the "just fit right" from the get-go.
I wear these to work as daily wear , not blue or indigo , and nobody has ever noticed/commented on "jeans".
Bought new retail/ bought thrift stores/ bought ebay/ bought from Aussie Gumtree
4) Jackets ? Jeez, where to start...First "quality" leather jacket an Eastman Luftwaffe bought new in 1990.
Still have that jacket , well worn in with "patina" to the max ! Replaced twice ( yes I have 3 now of varying ages)
Again a daily roster/cycle to work , either riding or in the "winter" in the car

( Only sold the '77 in 2011 had owned it since 1991 ), Also had an AMC Matador for a while and an Oldsmobile Delta 88 full size convertible 455 big block from 1988 until 2011. Don't obsess over yank cars so much now tho' I still look at them as they drive past .

@GHT That is a really nice Wurlitzer. And yes Big Joe Turner's original version is the best. Most white audiences (and younger black audiences) have never heard it as the second verse was censored, at some point, for airplay in his original recording, and the ones who covered it never heard it, so they couldn't include it in their cover:

But to keep the post on topic, I was a blues DJ for 10 years in the 70s and the 80s. Before that I was collecting blues records as an avid hobbiest. So now I have hundreds and maybe a thousand of blues LPs. When CDs came out, I started buying duplicates of my favorites as the CD was a much more user friendly medium. Sure the tones were clipped, but it was so much easier to catalog and play, especially in the car.
I have collections of other items, but don't know that I want to take the time to photograph all of my tools in their cabinets and chests, my amplifiers and my harmonicas and microphones. Maybe another day. This day belongs to Big Joe Turner and his censored 2nd verse.

While a student I was obsessed with heavy metal vinyls and books; I have stopped collecting vinyls but I'm still a bookworm.
I was into cheap perfecto copies since my teens but 8 years ago I had money enough to buy me a real Schott; I started visiting this forum and now I own more than 10 leather jackets (mostly Aero's, but also Schott's, SB, etc) - all bought new.
2-3 years ago I fooled my self into a new hobby - dress shoes - which I though would stop me from spending my savings on jackets; it did - however I've spent more on 3 Alden Shell's, 3 Crockett and Jones, a couple of UK made Grensons, Barkers, Loake's, etc...

For me it was always watches. Started on the earliest forums (Equation of time) and then onto the bigger ones (Wachuseek and TimeZone) Checked the memorycard on my camera that I used when I was into buying and selling them and between 2002 and 2012 I bought and sold 542 watches. It tapered off after that as I got bored of all the stupid questions as investors and worse newbie investors started getting into watches. Now I have a controllable collection which is slowly growing as I don't sell any anymore.

Well, I've had my share of addictions. Some remain, others subside or downgrade from "addiction" to "slight enthusiasm".
appart from leather jackets, sneakers and jeans I obsess over synthesizers...mostly vintage but I have my share of contemporary ones. At a time it was a little irrational since I had a good number of instruments and I was buying some very shady synths for which I had no use for. They were rare, sounded odd but interesting when playing them solo, but had little to no use in a mix. My obsession remains active but I've "cut down the fat", I only buy new stuff that I found useful or if I want soe "new sounds" and got rid of those odd numbers in my collection.
In my late teens and early twenties I had a big interest in Napoleonic Wars era guns and weaponry, I spent a big part of my first salaries (I was studying and working at the same time) on old guns and weapons.
It was an obsession that came fast and was gone in a few years.
Found all those guns in the basement this Christmas, some in bad shape. So I decided to restore and sell most of them and keep my 3 favourite guns.
I'm now starting to develop a strange shoe addiction also.
I'm a watch and american classic cars enthusiast but far from addicted.

It's always been books for me, I have hundreds sitting on my shelves. Nowadays I prefer to use libraries because I've run out of shelf space but if I read something really good I'll order it. I would have said I collect hi fi equipment as well but I've been looking at some videos of audiophiles on the net and I don't even rate a 5th place next to those guys.

Not sure if these are addictions, obsessions or simple interest but I will go through them here:
- I was initially interested in video games and collected some limited editions (out of it for many years now, but still have most of my collections somewhere). I did play a lot for a long time, so that was probably an addiction. Still play some games nowadays, but they are generally from a backlog of games I have not completed yet. Currently going through the Dark Souls series.
- Bought a lot of music CDs but didn't really go into limited editions, first recordings, etc... so it probably doesn't count
- Had a lot of books, but as was mentioned here, I would forget about them once read, so probably not a collection either
- Got interested in gym and training years ago, which got me in a good physical condition and interested in fashion. I did buy a lot of things from the major Italian fashion brands, ranging from shoes to jackets and of course all types of shirts, suits, etc.
I also dabbled into custom suits, leather jackets and shirts as I was travelling in various South East Asian countries regularly.
The one clothing item that superseded all others... was the leather jacket. This was due to getting my first leather jacket as a teenager, a cool black, heavy perfecto which was unfortunately stolen (So can't say what brand it is, maybe a an HD).
- I learned how to cook pretty late, and as a result got interested in the essential cooking tool: the kitchen knife. Being interested in finding "the best", I acquired a huge selection of knives and sharpening stones. Spoiler alert: there is no "best"
I also got an extensive selection of cast iron, iron and copper pans and pots, but it is not really a "collection" as opposed to my kitchen knives.
- A friend of mine made me discover the work wear world, and this re-ignited my passion for leather jackets, and this is fully ongoing now
On the other hand, I never felt the need to collect jeans, or others... Having a good pair or two to use regularly is more than enough for me

- Got into tea as well, so I can relate to you @mtrlr I haven't reached 100kg yet, but I easily have enough teas for the next decades, quite a big selection of clay pots (haven't counted them), a couple of tetsubin (planning to get a few more), and other accessories.
- I have also considered watches but have (thankfully?) not fallen in that rabbit hole.
- I can see that I would like to own more than one motorcycle, we'll see how that will go
- My drug is desserts, especially good chocolate, hence the reason for a wider mid-section than desired
