Has anyone else had a problem with how slow the site is? I tried to add LD and Zaika as buddies today and it was moving like a turtle.

Oh the site is S U P E R S L O W. WHat I want to know is is there a place online where you work on your novel or post it, or in your profile, or do you do all that on your own?

Yes, the site has always been superslow.
I haven't been able to look yet, but there has always been a place to post how many words you've typed and even a way to post excerpts of your novel into your profile. They should have that this year. I've always worked in MS Word and then posted the numbers into my profile.

BTW...they turned off the easy cut 'n paste word counter thingy they usually have in order to make the site a bit faster for the first day. Check out the news on the first page to find out how to update your word count.

LOL. Yeah...me too. I think I have about 1,000 words written. But I've calculated that if you can write at least 1666 a day, you'll make it! I can do that. It'll be crap. But eh...

Its cool and there are SO MANY people there

The personal page stuff and navigation around and subscribing to threads is SO hard to find! I had a co worker (who is doing the project too) help me in finding out how to subscribe to the FL thread :eusa_doh:

yeah...i have the same problem trying to navigate the site and find simple things...like a search function and all that. i don't know who designed the thing...but [huh] oh well.

Almost a 1000. Still not sure what's going to happen in the next sentence. It gets better when you get into a groove.

I'm more of a skip 3 days write 5,000 words in one night kind of guy. I wish I still rode public transportation; that's probably the reason I reached 50,000 words last time.

Ah...public transit. I used to take advantage of that for drawing my fellow passengers...good practice.

Im at 29000+ now whooo hoo me! There are some passages Im not too keen on, but its like sketching, you refine later.

How is everyone else doing?
