As a lot of the non-vintage audience at my gigs have an interest in my Rockabilly clothes, I thought some folks here would find them interesting too. Here are some recent pics of some of the jackets and other items in my collection:

Thanks Hem, she's an Epiphone Emperor Regent, 12 years old now . . . feels like I only bought her a couple of years ago! Lovely guitar to play jazz on.

I saw those "The King" pants in Vegas and they really are awesome. I couldn't justify buying them since the only place I could wear them was, you guessed it, Vegas! I think Resortes bought a pair.

Thanks Flat-Top! Masaki, the cat who runs The King, is a real nice guy to deal with. I've got a pair of peggies from him in salmon pink with black saddle stitching down the side, I'll have to photograph them as well. I've got a few more things to take photos of, I'm thinking of putting them on the band website too, so many people ask me where I get all my threads from and want to look at them. The only answer is years of collecting and a really good tailor!

Great looking stuff!

I'm tempted by a bunch of that style of rockabilly wear myself; my natural tendency for fities wear leans more towards the greasier end of things, but it's always great to have an alternative (and I've long been of the belief that very few of the real fifties rockabilly kids would ever have dreamed of gonig to a big night out in denim and leather!).

Whjat are those repro trousers made of - poly? Rayon? Cotton?

Suit-wise I'm still more connected to the 30s, but my everyday style usually includes a leather jacket, a shirt, jeans and a pair of converse. I hope I can get me a special 1950s tiki shirt for christmas.

BTW- Could please tell me a bit more about your band? Are there any videos?

Two friends and me also set up a rockabilly band and I'm the singer and guitarist, too, so I'm quite interested what kinds of rockabilly you make.

The cream w/ red & black flecks is one of my favourites too, Salv!

Edward, the 'pistol pocket' trousers my tailor made are really high quality wool, the Japanese 'drape' pants are made of a very light gabardine, I'd say a rayon mix of some type byt he feel of them and the way they drape.

Ah Henrik, not only do you dress superbly, you like good ol' Rockabilly too, huh? I toured the north of Deutschland back in 2000 (Holland, Sweden and Finland too), we played in Berlin, Oberhausen, Oldenberg, Duisberg, and a couple of other towns whose names I can't remember right now.

Ther are some music and clips of the band on www.myspace.com/sonicaces. I've had this group together for 10 years this year, we've had some great gigs recently performing with Wanda Jackson and Slim Jim Phantom and, a few years back, Carl Perkins' son Stan. Have you done any gigs yet? Where are you playing?

Hey, we'll be at Hemsby next year in May, would love to catch up with some of you guys!

We're still preparing for our first gig next year in february or so. I'm working on some songs, but we'll mainly play covers. We'll play together with(or should I say against

) the punk/metal band of some good friends of us. So our main target at the moment is, to show the what the word rock means!

They look great! I'm hoping over the next year to add some more to my rockabilly end of the wardrobe.... I've been looking at some of the more toned-down western shirts recently, just trying to make sure I don't buy anything "dry-cvlean only" - fine for a suit, but for a shirt or trousers I'll be wanting to wear like a pair of jeans or whatever.... yeesh, dry-clean bills soon mount up!

Yeah, I bought a dry-clean only shirt once, having not read the care instructions on the tag before shelling out the clams for it at the purchasing counter. Turned out to be an expensive shirt, that one!

Today while I was getting me one of the two new Brian Setzer albums I saw a red and black flannel shirt which matched to my style and it was pretty cheap so I bought it,too. At home when I tried it on I was shocked how long it is. I nearly goes down to my knees!
