Welcome to the Lounge dschonn. I like your mix of textures. The color palette is spot on. You're a great addition to the Lounge.

Shirt: probably at least two decades old, acquired from my girlfriend's father
Tie: probably at least five decades old, acquired from my girlfriend's grandfather
Vest: less than a month old, received for Christmas
Jacket: from the seventies or early eighties, acquired from my father
Trousers: less than a decade old, but they are my most golden-era-looking trousers.

My room is a mess.

Good lord, your valet needs a severe reprimanding, those trousers are in dire need of a ironing.

Welcome to the Lounge Eva! I love your whole look but I must know where you got that hat! Is it vintage?
I got it at this store in Newport, CA called Swellegant. I don't think it's vintage, maybe from the 80s but it certainly looks 20s/30s and the pin on it is actuallty from the 20s.

What am I wearing today that looks vintage?

horn rimmed glasses; spit shined military oxford shoes (amazingly bought on ebay, they are 25 year old Craddock-Terry's (unworn when bought-dead stock), that fit me like a glove and take a spit shine like a million bucks. The navy Brooks Brother's three button, notch lapel suit with navy pencil striped shirt and subdued paisley tie practically invite the gang members on my bus to beat the stuffing out of me. It's 28 degrees here today so the ubiquitous Brooks Brothers mid calf length topcoat and vintage Dobbs charcoal snap brim with wind cord are on duty.

Worth & Worth chocolate brown fedora, red & blue checked ascot, Pendleton shawl-collar sweater, tweed jacket.

Great look Carter. I love your choice in ascots. I really like how the ascot throws a little color into the mix. Bravo.

Very warm faux fur coat from Portobello Market - £10!
Bargain £12 light wool ebay suit (took a year to get the smell of mothballs out though!).
My favourite vintage shoes that I always always wear, from The Real McCoy in Exeter.
Umbrella from a charity shop near my office for £3

Miss Hanna, I must say that you are looking sharp! Everything just goes together. I even love the coat, even though it is faux fur (yea, I'll admit I'm a little snob about faux and real used fur) but the cut of it is very nice and I honestly wouldn't mind something like that myself.
...but those poor, poor polymeric bunnies, jk. :p

On monday i got my last three wisdom teeth removed so i haven't left my house since that surgery until today. But i figured i'd risk trying to eat, since it appeared my jaw was healing a little better and went to my favorite nearby restaurant. My face however, is bloated not unlike that of a chipmunk or John McCain and i haven't shaved in three days so ignore my disheveled mess of a face, its not as beautiful as it normally is.

I'm wearing this old beat up handed down grey suit my father got. Its too bit for me but it is very comfortable and i had it fitted as best as the tailors could, a pull over sweater, a black skinny tie, my black overcoat, cufflinks, scarf, and of course, the good old Fedora (the only decent one i've got). I didn't really pay attention to what i was putting on when i did save for the hat, but that's the list of things. hope i can compete with some of you folks.
