I bought a pair of the shoe version, in brown, and they're not too bad for the price. The leather's not so thick, but they're wearing in nicely and they look good.

A couple of friends have the black boots and they look more substantial. I don't know whether they're made from better leather or whether the construction means they look a bit sturdier. Either way, they wear them almost daily and are very happy with them.

I got mine from Shoebedoos, who provided excellent, friendly service.

OK, i'm worried. The email address and contact phone number on the shoe-be-doos website are for some reason non-functional. I ordered a pair of boots and have not received them. That's not too worrying, with the standard Christmas mail speed. But the non-contactability is a real worry.

I have emailed through her eBay account, so i hope this works and she replies to it. If not, i'll start a dispute through Paypal and get my money back.

I hope this gets sorted satisfactorily. It's always a worry when you get the number unobtainable tone.

From my dealings with them, they seemed nice people. But that's no help when you're minus cash and without the items...

Dragged this old post out to ask if there's any update on the Grafter boots.

I was thinking about buying either those or the IMAC derby dealer boots and having them shipped from the UK to the USA.

figuring it will be around $100. Do you think they are worth it? I can't seem to find anything here in the USA at that price point.


Any idea on sizing on either the Grafter or IMAC boots on ebay.uk?

For that kind of money, plus whatever customs duty's applied, I don't think it's worth it.
